The Indian VC ecosystem IS broken in many ways. The copy-paste mentality of funding (like copying US models), the herd mentality in decision making, and yes, some unethical practices. But this varies partner by partner, not firm by firm.
I think gone are the times, where you could just copy paste a western idea in India.
The next best businesses in India will be built by chasing India first insights and chasing vertical categories
