The reason India struggles to grow in AI isnāt just about infrastructure or investment ā itās also about our mindset. Weāre the first to hype up anything built abroad, even if itās just a copy of something else. But when someone from India tries to create something innovative, weāre quick to tear them down. Take Bhavish Aggarwalās announcement of Krutrim AI as an example. The project wasnāt even launched yet, and we mocked him relentlessly without even knowing what it was. This needs to change. If we truly want India to thrive in cutting-edge tech like AI, we must support homegrown efforts, not ridicule them. Constructive criticism is great, but blind trolling only discourages innovation. Itās time we start believing in and uplifting Indian creators and entrepreneurs. The world doesnāt owe us recognition ā we need to build that for ourselves.
