"When was the last time you truly broke a familiar pattern in your life? Not just tweaking what you do, but questioning why you do it?" Most of us operate on autopilot, repeating what works—or worse, repeating mistakes. This is what psychologists call single-loop learning. You stick to the cycle without asking, how did I get here in the first place? Enter double-loop learning, a game-changing concept developed by Chris Argyris and Donald Schön. It's not just about fixing mistakes but questioning the beliefs, values, and objectives that drive your actions. It’s the difference between saying, “I need to delegate better” and asking, “Why do I struggle to let go of control in the first place?” Real change doesn’t happen through new rules or strategies. It happens when you confront those deeper "force fields" shaping your behavior.
