If I were an executive decision maker for Medial, I would have denied this suggestion. The idea of giving gifts with subscriptions doesn't align with our users' primary goals for subscribing. Additionally, the temporary upgrade to a higher tier doesn't provide enough value to justify the added complexity. Our users who need those features would be better served by subscribing to the higher tier directly.
