A French Company that the Whole World Uses! So It all started in 1966 when Pierre Bellon noticed a gap in how companies managed food and facilities for their employees. The idea? Provide essential services like meals, cleaning, and maintenance so businesses could focus on their core operations. Thus Pierre decides to start Sodexo in France, that provides on-ground catering, cleaning services, etc. By the 1980s, Sodexo started expanding internationally, and soon launched preloaded cards that allow employers to provide food, fuel, etc allowance to employees. For eg, if you want to provide 5,000 Rs monthly fuel allowance to employees, with Sodexo, just distribute cards to your employees, and they can spend on fuel anywhere, just like a debit card. Today, with over $24 billion in revenue, it's one of the biggest companies in the world, and its main product is still providing catering and all that physical work. This clearly shows that even a non-tech company can become so huge!
