2 image is has better contrast which is the main focus in this type of thumbnail . In the second image we can clearly see difference between poor and rich on their respective side .Where as in the First Image People on left are not necessarily looking poor . Another thing the in the second Image there two people in front 1 from each side and few people on back side aswell . This makes a feel of depth in the thumbnail Making it better
