Let's do the math: 40L apartment EMI: ~35k/month 95L bungalow EMI: ~83k/month BUT 50% lower electricity bills own vegetables (saving 5-6k/month) better appreciation no society maintenance still expensive but not as crazy as it sounds for upper middle class

yup, your basic math is right. and yes this is for the upper middle class. and yes we forget the appreciation of land over the years.
