Lenskart was started by Peyush Bansal, Amit Chaudhary, Sumeet Kapahi in 2010. Piyush Bansal formerly worked at Microsoft. In 2007 Bansal returned to India to start his own startup. In 2008 Piyush Bansal started 'Find My Campus' to help university students find PGs. In 2010 Piyush finally started Lenskart. Vision- Peyush Bansal wants to make quality eyewear more accessible and more affordable. Lenskart has its own eyewear brand 'Joban Jacob'. Currently Lenskart has more than 2000 stores in more than 300 cities including Dubai and Singapore. Lenskart has an annual production capacity of 5 crore eyewear. Lenskart is currently valued at $5 billion and plans to go public via IPO in 2025.
