Is college a necessity today who have done their non med in 12th?if anyone doesn't get tier 1 or tier 2 engineering college ,should one join a college or no?

what would be your most valuable suggestion to a first year student (sem 2) in a tier 3 engineering College in India( branch Electronics and Telecommunications )?
