Bengaluru police have apprehended an Axis Bank manager and three accomplices in Gujarat for allegedly siphoning off INR 12.5 Cr from the corporate account of CRED's parent company. The accused used forged documents, including fake board resolutions, seals, and signatures, to gain unauthorized access to the account held at Axis Bank. Between October 23 and November 11, they carried out 37 fraudulent transactions and created over a dozen mule accounts to launder the stolen money.
