I never said Congress was a God like party. Yes, Congress ruled for 60 years, but until 1991, India followed a Soviet-style socialist model that limited growth. It was only under PV Narasimha Rao and Manmohan Singh that the economy was liberalized, paving the way for modern economic reforms. Comparing Modi’s 11 years to Congress’s tenure doesn’t make much sense without context. GDP growth under Modi has been average, similar to Congress’s performance.
