How do companies get us to click "buy" on things we don’t really need?

Nowadays people are dropping out from their college to build startup . By seeing this we assume that a topper or the one who have bachelor degree can't be successful in life or can't be good at building a company. So called reels , shorts , youtuber

I have one question, as a child who grew up watching sci-fi movies now they can be reality because of AI but is it really causing threat to us humans on that greater scale and if so why can't we put some limitations on it ?

Why do we tend to overlook beneficial actions and fall into undesirable habits, even when we are fully aware of what is best for us? We know mindless scrolling is bad for us, even then we continue doing it and ignore the better things like exercise

What should we do if there’s no one to talk to? Shouldn't there be a platform where people genuinely want to connect and talk on the same topic.
