Know your customer 💚 It’s important to research a customer’s or client’s background before engaging in a lengthy conversation. Knowing where they come from and what they do can be very helpful. Their background allows you to start a relatable and relevant conversation, often using analogies. Pricing quotations can also vary based on the city they are in, whether it’s a Tier 1, Tier 2, or Tier 3 city. Initially, I used to have the same type of conversation with all my clients, but it eventually became monotonous for me as well. Then, I began learning more about them by asking about their work and their city, which allowed me to have relevant conversations. This approach brought me enthusiasm, and I continued with it. Trust me, it helped me connect with clients on a deeper level, and some of them have now become my full-time clients. It’s also important to tailor the conversation based on the client’s age group. Ex: if it’s a student, you can talk about college experiences
