Carlos, The Most Underrated CEO! Carlos Ghosn began his career at Michelin, which was financially struggling. He was sent to handle the North American division, where he introduced streamlining operations and negotiated better deals with unions, helping restore profitability. In 1996, he joined Renault, which was also facing financial trouble. Ghosn introduced a cost-cutting program, focused on innovation, and launched new models, leading Renault to profitability in about three years. In 1999, Ghosn formed an alliance with Nissan to exchange technology. At the time, Nissan was on the brink of bankruptcy with $20 billion in debt. He introduced cost-cutting measures and focused on successful models like the Nissan Altima, reviving the company and returning it to profitability within a few years. In 2016, Ghosn facilitated the addition of Mitsubishi to the Renault-Nissan alliance, enabling the companies to share resources, collaborate on technology, and compete globally. Under his leadership, the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance became one of the world’s largest automakers by sales in 2017. Today, Carlos Ghosn resides in Lebanon with a $120 Million Networth.
