I hope you are talking about transportation on road ways. A few things to consider: 1. The 70 percent of Indians do agriculture, and they do not need to pay tax. 2. Remaining 30 percent people are staying in 10000 to 20000 per square kilometre. 3. Few brilliant people use advance of cheep labour cost and make money. Now this people travel their own SUVs, instead of using public transport. 4. And tax payers will find different ways to escape, because government don't provide transperancy to the tax payers. 5. In general where there is a infrastructure their public goes. But in india where a crowd exists their government tries to build infrastructure, and that doesn't work as expected. 6. India has the best transportation system when compared to even developed countries. Don't get confused between transportation and traffic. and last thing we are missing is luxury transportation for common man. Drone technology is booming up to solve this issue.
