The Scary Part of AI Privatization Privatization is great in most industries, leading to better products and competitive prices. But private companies also find ways to extract money from us. And with GenAI, subscriptions, ads, and APIs aren't the only revenue streams—manipulation in generating answers is another concern. For instance, Microsoft owns 49% of OpenAI¹, Google and Amazon have significant stakes in Anthropic², while Bing AI and Meta AI are controlled by Microsoft and Meta respectively. Now think: if you've invested billions in an AI, would you want it to share negative truths about your competitor? And would you want it to say positive things about your company? Imo, they would! When? Idk! And this would result is mass manupalation in generating answer and we as users will be face the consequences! Do you agree?
