and the point you said that you already been obeying them form past years , I think that it is wrong , why ? because if you think really carefully , we only see our perspectives maybe in your eyes you did as much as you could but maybe in their eyes it was negligible, for example no matter how much I help my mom in my household chores she just always say the phrase that I don't help her much , so it's perspectives , my help us not enough to make her notice you need to make them notice your efforts

you are right doing what they say and proving yourself are two different things. But I am saying be diplomatic, at start it can be that you follow them completely and by being responsible I mean being responsible in the way they want not in the way you think you can be , example you may think that working by yourself is responsibility but they may think that you are distracted and studing is your responsibility, so for a while 6 months or a year you have to burn your own desires if your want to gain their trust and for that you have to work as they want you to , not like don't use your brain and just follow all their decisions but they must think that you do whatever they say and take responsibility according to what they think is responsibility, and btw this is a personalized problem so without knowing full details and context about you and your parents their cannot be a general answer so don't just agree with what I say but use your thinking skills as well.
