This question goes out the industry professionals here. Nowadays we keep hearing that a degree in engineering is not worth unless your doing it from the top 100 institutes in India . The rest of the colleges are just landlords who have found a way to make more money . What do you think regarding this and also is pursuing a degree even useful or skills matter more in the industry now

The industry is shifting focus from credentials to capabilities. Your coding proficiency, problem-solving skills, or project portfolio nowadays matter more than your college name during interviews based on what I've seen.

Instead of relying on one thing either it be degree or skills can lead to various problems. Thinking in a gray area and having expertise in both is far more valuable
