well imk, most of the voting machines are organised in public areas like schools, etc and thus you can't just keep those machines over there all the time. also, you need collect and transport those evms for counting so that doesn't makes sense. now coming to your idea, while it sounds great on paper. there are some issues. firstly there are only 15k police station in the whole of India and keeping the voting machine only There means each police station would have about 90k people voting there and it's really a lot
