Google's Clever Trick to Attract Employees! In 2004, Google placed a billboard on Highway 101 in Silicon Valley with a simple yet fun challenge: "Find the first 10-digit prime number in consecutive digits of e and Visit [that number].com." This leads you to a special website where you could apply to work at Google. Though the answer to this question isn’t that hard and could be found in a few minutes, it was still effective because: 1. The ad didn’t mention where the website would lead. 2. Only the curious individuals would likely solve it (exactly the type of people Google needed). 3. Tho Google was huge, it still needed job applicants, and this was a great way to find them. As a result, Google attracted creative and curious employees while also boosting its popularity.
