These are the Annual security costs incurred by Big Tech to protect their CEOs. What do these costs include?Everything from home monitoring to personal bodyguards and security consulting. Pay attention towards Zuck especially. Meta has paid the most to protect its CEO - $23.4 million as per Fortune, in 2023. That's over THREE TIMES MORE than the next closest tech company on the list. In fact, Meta has paid out EVEN MORE to protect Zuckerberg in the previous years. Over $24 million in 2022 and $25 million in 2021. Why you ask? As per the SEC filings, Zuckerberg is viewed as "synonymous with the company". Any negativity around the brand could spillover on to him. Hence, the extra care. What do you think? Are these heavy expenses justified?
