I think it’s a natural evolution. We already rely on tech for so much; why not companionship? Robots can be programmed for empathy, too

exactly...but not sure that they can totally programmed for empathy, because strong human like empathy very complex to program, even not every human are empathic, and also the definition of empathy vary from person to person.... only few understand
