I have a startup. I applied for a seed program in my college and just got rejected. I learnt that they are seeking more traction. I did some market research through Gforms and conversations and submitted the data. They feel it’s not enough. Before getting rejected, I had plans of starting product development and launching the product into the market in April 2025. Now, I’m planning to apply for the next round (January). What can I do now? Should I start with the product or talk to more people, get more market insights? My brain tells me I should focus on product building and revenue generation, but how much will I be able to accomplish before January? Will whatever I do be enough to convince them to take me in? I feel like too much of research might waste time, because I know, with proof that it will work. But they want more proof. Should I get more proof or just start with the product, which will get me people actually using it and make money too? (Again that will take time)
