Just saw this and wondered, are astrology apps exploiting our insecurities? Astrology apps are raking in millions—some even up to $15 million annually by selling predictions, remedies, and compatibility reports. What was once a personal belief system has become a $2 billion industry, projected to triple in the coming years.. Millions of users paying for personalized readings, promising insight into love, career, and even health with ads so clickbaity that it catches you off-guard. I think that these apps promote dependency on generalized, algorithm-based predictions, making life decisions based on star charts instead of reality. Not to mention, some apps push “remedies” with questionable scientific backing, leading to serious ethical concerns. Are we empowering ourselves, or just getting exploited by an industry that profits from our uncertainties? I don’t think the problem is in the belief system but how it’s attacked upon by tech & other outside influences.
