Startups / startups aspiring to create tech platforms aggregating a service provider to a consumer: - The tech alone is not the solution While it seems so convenient that we all can avail - drivers - Carpenters - Cleaning professionals - Cooks - Plumbers - Electricians All of this can be done immediately on an app. It seems incredibly convenient But where the tech solution ends the other gazillion problems begin - when the service professionals are rude - when they charge extra - the circumvent the platform to avoid platform fees (like cancelling the ride to avoid platform fee) - Professionals turning up late - not doing their job properly / not qualified to do their job The problems are endless. So does tech solve this problem? No The actual problem lies in the training, hiring and retention of good service professionals. If this is not focused on then anyone creating an aggregator platform will have their customers facing the exact same issues.
