Meet Mike Black, a YouTuber and entrepreneur who took on a challenge in July 2023, aiming to prove he could make $1 million in a year with no money—just a mobile and his skills. The catch was that he couldn’t use any of his connections, existing businesses, bank balance, or any resources he had. He also couldn’t tell anyone about the challenge (because that would surely help). Although he was documenting his journey on YouTube, it didn’t actually help him much with the challenge. He started by living in someone’s van for free, and began with flipping furniture. He then, went for doing multiple odd jobs to save some money. He used that saved to start a coffee brand which worked well. Tho, Mike had to end this challenge two months early because of several issues, including his father’s diagnosis of cancer. Even then, in 10 months, he ended up making $65,000—just $935k short of his original goal 😅 Anyways, this series is there on YouTube, and even though he wasn’t able to make a million dollars, the series teaches a lot of ways to make money.
