Rahul Yadav- One of the oldest bad boys in the Indian Startup Ecosystem Yadav burst onto the startup scene in 2012 with Housing.com, a platform created out of frustration over the challenges of finding rental accommodation in Mumbai. By 2014, he had secured a staggering $90 million investment from SoftBank, propelling the startup's valuation to ₹1,500 crore. It was a meteoric rise that had everyone buzzing about his potential. With great success came great scrutiny. Yadav’s brash demeanor and impulsive decisions soon overshadowed his achievements. One particularly infamous incident involved an angry email he sent to Shailendra Singh of Sequoia Capital, where he copied 1,500 employees on his grievances. Despite moments of generosity like gifting all his shares worth ₹200 crore to employees because he was "too young to worry about money" Yadav's erratic behavior eventually led to his downfall. By 2015, he was ousted from Housing.com after a series of public spats and questionable decisions that had investors regretting their choices.
