At $3,499, this headset just couldn’t find its groove in the U.S. market, with demand plummeting faster than you can say “Tim Cook.” 😳 Looks like it’s time for Apple to rethink its game plan or maybe swap out Tim for an innovator? I kinda knew a $3,500 price tag would be a buzzkill ✨ My thoughts: 1) First principles matter. The core question isn't "Will people buy an expensive headset?" but "What fundamentally transforms human-computer interaction?" Apple usually gets this right. 2) Price is a red herring. When iPhone launched at $499-599 in 2007, many claimed it was DOA. The real question is value creation. Vision Pro's issue isn't the $3,499 price tag—it's that the delta between price and value isn't clear enough yet. - i could be wrong.

It must be the wearable vs phone war. Meta says glasses are the future, but Apple's flagship product iPhone will lose the marketshare if that gets real. Mark's switch from VR to glasses is a heavy update. Apple really dont want Mark to overdo. But maybe we can see Apple glasses in the future
