๐ Grapevine Scoop: Apple Vision Pro's Quick Exit! Whoa, hold the phone! Tim is kinda cook(ed) Apple is reportedly pulling the plug on the Vision Pro by the end of 2024โtalk about a speedy exit! At $3,499, this headset just couldnโt find its groove in the U.S. market, with demand plummeting faster than you can say โTim Cook.โ ๐ณ Looks like itโs time for Apple to rethink its game plan or maybe swap out Tim for an innovator? I kinda knew a $3,500 price tag would be a buzzkill โจ My thoughts: 1) First principles matter. The core question isn't "Will people buy an expensive headset?" but "What fundamentally transforms human-computer interaction?" Apple usually gets this right. 2) Price is a red herring. When iPhone launched at $499-599 in 2007, many claimed it was DOA. The real question is value creation. Vision Pro's issue isn't the $3,499 price tagโit's that the delta between price and value isn't clear enough yet. - i could be wrong.
