Your project may not align with their investment focus or current interests. Basically, if you don't fall under their investment thesis, then you're not getting entertained. Because think of it, if they say no, you will ask why and it just keeps going

They receive numerous pitches daily like in 100s and they can only invest in around 30 companies in a year on an average. Think of the load.
