Violence in office is not acceptable and even if you go to HR chances of that person loosing a job is not that high along with that you both will be asked several questions and a committee will be set and blah blah blah blah and in the long run you'll never be satisfied with it also as a human you'll keep feeling humiliated and you would probably want to change the job as well bez ppl around you will start behaving weirdly.. so slap him back as hard as you can, but if she's a girl maybe it would be better to take her to HR and file a complaint bez of Indian laws she'll be still having alot of loopholes to easily pass through it.
