Good afternoon peers, I have a business background focused on manufacturing of Architectural Hardware. I have been working under my father's guidance in his business since I was 17. And what I have come up with might be controversial but there is a scope. In our industry, the products are sold via traditional channel routes like distributors, retailers, etc and some brand are working hard to make a digital presence and focus on selling through ecommerce sites. but the problem remains the same in the market the power holds the Already Grown and Famous brands like HETTICH, HAFALE, EBCO, GODREJ, SAMSUNG IREX ETC. Moreover the Product range to build up a brand is also high, which acts as a barrier of entry (upto 2000 products). what I noticed was the intervention of the Retailers in the decision of purchasing a specific brand and obviously they promote a brand in which their profit margins are high. I will continue if enough people validate this problem.
