Idea is good but, Let's I am a customer, I have so many apps in my phone, I will not download an extra app just to remind me about warranty. Warranties are just for 1 or 2 years and in every 2 years we buy hardly 2-3 things on an average which requires warranty. There will be very very low user time spend on that app and ad revenue model will not work here. Extended warranty revenue model also have demerits like firstly it will not work for every thing, it can only work for costly things. I don't think the idea will last longer.
