Popular YouTuber and influencer Ranveer Allahbadia has fallen victim to a cyberattack, resulting in both of his YouTube channels being hacked and renamed "Tesla." All the videos on both channels were also deleted. The hackers reportedly used a deceptive livestream featuring an AI-generated avatar of Elon Musk, urging viewers to invest in cryptocurrency with a false promise of doubling their returns. The avatar directs viewers to scan a QR code and deposit Bitcoin or Ethereum on a suspicious website, elonweb.net. This is a classic "Bitcoin doubling" scam commonly used in cyberattacks targeting high-profile YouTube channels. YouTube's Response The channels have been deleted from YouTube. Previously, when attempting to search for them, YouTube displayed a message stating they were removed due to a violation of the platform's policies. Currently, the platform shows the message: “This page isn’t available. Sorry about that. Try searching for something else.” Source: Times Of India

You know, there is this very hard working singer/songwriter in Pune an di have met in a cafe just chilling with his friends annd he was very humble and down to earth, I even went to a gig of his in a club and he has been putting out singles and songs but suddenly he started promoting a crypto exchange and all. I wonder how long these guys had their eyes out at him putting in the work and making his social media grow only to finally pull the rug. Who know if our accounts have already been spotted and attacked but we just aren't big enough on social media so they aren't pulling the plug yet. FUUUUUUU*******

As a rule I try not to opening say shit about these phishing people who hack social media accounts because I don't want to seem too cocky and get a bunch of links from close ones how have gotten hacked, it really is scary.

Every now and then I see someone I know has posted on IG of a screenshot of their lockscreen that of course shows they selfie as a lock screen with a notif from the bank saying account credited with 6 fig something amount etc. And in that moment, I know I must block this person. It has gotten so old and yet people keep falling for it.
