ONDC feels like a government-backed attempt to play ‘super app.’ It’s trying to cover too many bases and might lose focus. Private players can innovate faster. It's a threat if it becomes too bureaucratic and kills competition.

But govt and most people fails to realise the most important part of a super app: the social networking part. WeChat is a social networking platform first and it can work well in a restricted country like China. I agree, this ONDC move can become bureaucratic over the years and can be innovation and competition killer
