Yesterday, while enjoying a milkshake, I noticed something interesting a Zomato ‘Rest Point’ with their signature red theme. Curiosity led me closer, and I found several delivery partners taking a break. A quick Google search later, I discovered these Rest Points are set up for delivery partners to recharge between orders, offering essentials like Wi-Fi, drinking water, phone charging, and even first aid. What’s even better? Delivery partners from other platforms, like Swiggy, are also welcome. It's a small but thoughtful initiative that shows how companies can support the backbone of the gig economy in meaningful ways.

Zomato is clearly ahead on user experience — multiple carts and direct chat with delivery partners make ordering super convenient. Swiggy, surprisingly, still lacks both. Also, Swiggy's minimum tip is ₹10, while Zomato allows a minimum of ₹5. It fee
