Consumer Internet is not dead in India yet. Today I found out about an app - Way2News. Hyperlocal news app. So basically if you want you can get news of a district specifically. Just raised $14 Million dollars from WestBridge. The numbers are crazy. 50 Million downloads 6.5 million DAU, 13 Million MAU 50% DAU/MAU means a sticky product for sure. And they are making revenue as well. Not much for the user base, I'm sure they are figuring out how they can make more. Btw, Daily Hunt made 1800 Cr just through its news app last year.
