This week, I came across this ad company that doesn't bother with CVs or applications when hiring. They don’t care about the applicants’ backgrounds or anything. Instead, they give candidates a creative task and pick the ones who really shine—the innovative and original thinkers—for interviews. It totally skips over things like socio-economic status, gender, or ethnicity and focuses just on talent and potential. Now, picture if education worked like that. No recruitment process is completely unbiased, but this could be a cool way to select people based on their skills and abilities rather than their privileges. It would shift the focus to what they can actually do instead of what they’ve been trained to do. That would be pretty amazing!
