In fact, many new companies around the world are offering 40 LPA to young workers. But IIT students are only getting 4 LPA. This shows that having an IIT degree isn't enough anymore. Parents think an IIT degree means a great job. But that's not always true. Instead of working hard to get into IIT, people should focus on learning new skills. As an IITian, I can confirm package offers have gone down. But 4 LPA is way too low. Core branches might get screwed but CS/IT guys are still making bank.
