Can anyone tell if private label brand building for cosmetic products needs any type of licence or registration? Only what I know is a trademark and GST number is required.

You’re right about the trademark and GST, but cosmetics are regulated under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act in India. You’ll need to get your products approved by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) if they fall under certain categories like skin creams, lotions, etc. Without proper licensing, you could face fines or even have your products pulled from shelves.
