Well I hope that was true but as more and more brands entered India and with increased per capita income of people, started a race for Premium-isation many started tasting foreign brands like Scottch and while other brands focused on giving variety and used different marketing tactics old monk did nothing and therefore by 2015 it was bleeding with losses after losses and once was even on the verge of bankruptcy. but fortunately they are bouncing back again.
