Hey I am on Medial • 1y

I am a recent (2024) graduate from a tier-1 college and was hired by a startup in June. However, the company had a terrible culture. They frequently hired and fired people for no reason, including a VP who was hired and fired within a week. Last week, I was also let go. I’m now really confused about whether to join a startup as a co-founder (with known people) that is at the MVP stage and hasn't yet raised funds, or to search for another job. What are your thoughts?

Apparently TCS has a “fluidity list” and people are getting fired based on that. Websites should be reporting on this. If a startup fires 50 people, it becomes a headline at 22 websites. This is TCS - largest private employer in India.

Microsoft Fired First, it was 7,000. Now it’s 9,000 more. But what's interesting is they are pouring $80 billion into GPUs that never need a coffee break.

Last week, when the news broke that the Fed might cut interest rates, the subsequent rally in our market left no room for further gains. It was unlikely to see a 1-2% return in just one day, and there hasn't been any significant inflow from FIIs. Tha
