It could also be possible that after the announcement of this competition, many people have made post on LinkedIn and Twitter about this and their idea asking for votes. They might be joining recently bcz they are joining after seeing those posts and

That's even worse anyone who has good following on social media platforms he/she can just say their followers to vote create an account and vote their idea blindly and he/she could win the competition even if the idea is not good

Yeah it is. The reason for this happening bcz currently we have only one metric to judge the winner that is votes. Let's see what Medial do in future to counter these challenges.
