Last month, Skye Air Mobility (Drone-as-a-Service Provider) raised a $4 M Series A. ⏩Investors include: Mount Judi, Chiratae, Venture Catalyst, Windrose Cap., and Tremis Cap. 🛸They operate an interesting delivery system - - Establish sky pods in residential areas, where drones, capable of carrying parcels can land - Delivery executives (skywalkers), pick up parcels from these pods and deliver them to customers homes. 🌰In a nutshell Skye Air - - Offers sustainable last-mile logistics solutions using drones - Caters to a distance of anywhere between 3km-100km - Payload capacity <= 50 kgs - Serves healthcare, agriculture, food delivery, e-commerce, and quick commerce I think drone logistics will likely excel in India- (1). Growing Traffic Congestion (2). Dense Population centers (3). Can increase access to remote areas (4). High e-commerce growth driving the need for fast and efficient delivery ⏯️Skye Air has already partnered with DTDC, BlueDart, Ecom Express, Cipla (for Himachal Pradesh), and secured 10 government contracts (medical supply delivery).
