š£ American startup Savor has created vegan butter literally from airācarbon dioxide, hydrogen, and oxygen. The butter tastes like regular butterāBill Gates tried it and called it delicious. šæ In addition to dairy-free butter, Savor is preparing to release similar ice cream, cheese, and milk. Their products will have a smaller carbon footprint than their animal-based counterparts. š± Savor stated that its products will have a substantially lower carbon footprint compared to animal-based alternatives. The "butter" produced by Savor emits less than 0.8g CO2 equivalent per kg, whereas traditional unsalted butter with 80% fat typically has a carbon footprint of 16.9kg CO2 equivalent per kg.
