Cloud engineering often overlaps with DevOps, so be prepared for that. In my experience, a lot of the job involves bridging the gap between development and operations. You'll likely work with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and automation tools. Coding skills are definitely needed, but it's more about scripting and understanding application architecture than heavy software development.
