Interesting changes are happening in India's defence sector. Some things to note: 🔹The Nifty India Defence Index has skyrocketed by 179.3% over the past year! 🔹FY 2023-24: Highest ever production at ₹1.27 lakh crore 🔹Massive growth: 16.7% year-on-year increase ⭐ Major STRUCTURAL SHIFT underway: - Public sector: Still dominant at 79.2% of production - Private sector: Now 20.8% (up from almost nothing a decade ago!) Major players- • Public giants: Hindustan Aeronautics, Bharat Electronics • Private players: L&T, Tata Advanced Systems As private players increase their share we'll see Increased R&D, improved efficiency, and a more robust manufacturing ecosystem. Is the sector worth exploring?

We need robotics and artificial intelligence oriented universities who only focus on new generation tech otherwise all these things are very slow if you compare it from China and America

This is a classic example of how policy changes can drive economic growth. The government's push for 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' and changes in defence procurement policies are clearly bearing fruit.

The increase in private sector involvement is promising, but 20.8% is still relatively small. We need to see this trend continue. Also, we should keep an eye on how technology transfer and IP rights are handled as more private players enter
