I went to 2 startup events in the last one week But are they really worth it? Apart from free food the main reason to go to such an event is to meet people who are building some crazy shit and expand your network So was the goal successful? Honestly, I think it a success if you even create 1 or 2 meaningful connections in these events as most of the people just talk about themselves and hands out cards and move to the next guy in the room Bro, I won't even remember your name or what you do after I talk to 5 more guys. So my strategy now is to build 1 or 2 meaningful connections in every event so that they remember me & I remember them. Pro tip: Go with a story that's interesting and tell it to one or 2 people, probably they won't remember you or your name but they will definitely remember the story
