Where should you put your smartphone during a business meeting? Of course, in front of you on the table: you won't miss any messages and emphasize your indispensability. However, according to the norms of business etiquette, having a phone on the table is a sign of disrespect to your interlocutors: by scheduling a meeting, you promise to devote all your attention to your partners. During a conversation, a smartphone in silent mode should be kept in a bag or briefcase. If you are waiting for a call related to the topic of the conversation, notify the participants and set the phone to vibrate. Speak briefly and in a way that does not disturb the other participants of the meeting: apologize and step out or move away if the room allows it.
