It was earlier called "The Native Share & Stock Brokers' Association" and later renamed to Bombay Stock Exchange. 1982: A Boeing 727 crashed in Kenner, Louisiana, shortly after takeoff, killing all 145 people aboard and 8 people on the ground. 1816: Argentina declared its independence from Spain. 2011: The News of the World, a British newspaper, published its last edition after 168 years in print. 1958: One of the world's largest tsunamis hit Alaska, USA which wiped out trees and buildings as high as 516m. 2019: IBM acquired Red Hat for $34 billion. Red hat is an Software Company that provides open source software products to enterprises.
