ONE INTERESTING OBSERVATION SERIES DAY #9 Koo, an Indian social media platform, is shutting down. One of the major reasons for its downfall was lack of user engagement. But there's another Indian social media platform with some interesting statistics. I'm talking about ShareChat. Even in the early stages, ShareChat was seeing incredible user engagement. Back when they were still in Series A, a whopping 9% of users were already creating original content on the platform compared to just a mere 2-3% on established social networks. ShareChat has been successful in building an app that keeps you engaged and coming back for more, with a finely tuned content targeting algorithm that delivers exactly what you want to see. This user-centric approach has led to best-in-class retention metrics. Today, 90% of content on Sharechat is user generated.
